This puzzle is like normal Sudoku with one new type of clue added. When two adjacent numbers of the same cage are consecutive, we place a line connecting them, otherwise there is no line. We consider cells to be adjacent if they are vertically, horizontally, or diagonally one apart. Nice puzzle however careful reading is needed as no link on a nonet boundary does not mean that it is NC.
Better on my second attempt, as on the first one I used T&E. On this attempt I put in the R5C5 limit at the start and it flowed nicely.

Very true! I tried to get that across in the instructions when I said "In every cage" but that's easy to miss and the whole thing needs to be better worded. Bad grammar on my part there!
